Haha i hope you guys get my pun there!
Anyways just wanted to update those of you who like following my journey with me! So about 5 weeks ago now (wow i feel like ive been here a year) i moved just south of new york city to a nice little town/village called Pelham, New York to become a nanny! Thanks all from the help of my big sis. I live with the family on the 3rd floor of an old renovated house. IT looks out right over long island a beautiful view.
The children i am responsible for are EDITH (2 and a half) and Martin (4 months old). My days start at around 730 am with changing diapers/clothes/ breakfast ; then an activity of some sort art project, craft, park time if weather allows, library for story time ! Its been a hard adjustment esp. for Edith who has had a lot of changes from new baby brother to moving in a new house and a new caretaker now. She is doing very well and making great progress. She says some pretty hilarious things and i think we have started to keep a journal of her sayings now. After the activity we usually do lunch and then naps, and that is pretty much the day! MARTY as we like to call him is growing so big every day, at this age they pretty much like to eat and sleep and coo and ahhh a little bit here and there. He likes to spit up very often which you start to just think its routine now and not gross.
It has been a great fit thus far and im very happy where im at. Its very nice to have my sister just about 25 minutes away. I usually end up spending the weekends with them and loving on my 2 beautiful nieces as much as i can. My brother Christopher is also nearby in Queens, Ny and is busy doing illustration, i think he just finished illustrating an animation for sony which turned out wonderful , he is so talented and gifted, love him! His apartment is awesome too.
I have also found a great, solid church with the Help of my friend Melissa not too far away. It is called Hillsong NYC! God is so good and gracious even when i am not faithful He is so so Faithful.
Im excited too because i have the opportunity to travel to Europe this summer (Prague, Germany, Holland). With an organization called AIS: Ambassador in Sport. Basically taking and playing soccer into these communities, working with local missionaries and building relationships through the great game of SOCCER! Im very excited.
Hope you guys are well, drop me a line to tell me how you guys are too and how i can be praying for you.

New Beginnings....
Hey everyone, I just wanted those of you who follow me or want to know whats going on in my life to be updated of the newest change coming soon. About a month ago now, my sister who lives in NYC passed along an email to me of a nanny job opening up in their area, (suburb of nyc). I was interested since i had lost a job about a month previous. SO i started contacting my future employee Elaine and we have been emailing ever since. I was able to go visit their house, meet the family and the kids see where i will be staying and so forth. So as of tomorrow April 1 i will be embarking on a move to Pelham, NY which is about an 11 hour drive and starting to be a nanny april 11. I am very excited about this new move and feel very peaceful about it. I am also pumped that i will be very close to my sister Kirsten, my bro in law Dario and two beautiful nieces Lola and LUna. Also my brother Christopher lives in Queens and hope to see him when possible too. Sorry about the short notice i didnt tell a whole lot of people, and didnt get to see some of you before i left. But please keep in touch via facebook, email : darling.brittany@gmail.com, or phone or snail mail if you wish. Blessings and Happy SPring to you all!!! Brittany Noelle

Trip to Minneapolis!
Last friday i took the MEGABUS from chicago to minneapolis to visit my two brothers, sister in law and two beautiful nieces Hazel and Sylvie! My brother Kirk who is at Bethel University and about to get married in June picked me up late late friday night. I will just tell you some of the highlights of my trip there. Went out to eat saturday night had some fish and chips yum yum. Went to church with them they attend a Sovereign Grace church in minneapolis. We grilled out that night and played some yard games it was pretty awesome. Monday i rode bikes with my brother Aaron to attend a barbeque before the twins game they opened up their new outdoor stadium and had the first home game that day but we couldnt get tickets! We watched on a big screen and in Brit's pub hahah! Tuesday went to mall of america with the kids and my sistern in law bethany just walked around, that place is massive if you ever get a chance to go you should. Played some bball with my bros, played outside with the girls and went to parks! It was a great trip, love seeing my family!
You may ask what i am doing now: Good question because im not out east anymore, i have moved back to the midwest in portage, MIchigan and am currently looking for employment here. I stay busy watching my younger brothers play baseball, in a co ed soccer league, volunteer with the middle school at my church, and sell Mary Kay on the side! I love the direction my life is heading and am very hopeful for the future. Lots of weddings to attend this summer, excited for all of them! God is very good to me and has blessed me immeasurably.

Connecticut!!!
So the first week on the new job and i am writing to talk about it. I am adjusting slowly and i think it will take lots more time to feel comfortable here. As for the kids they are pretty good. The youngest one tess is kind of in a phase right now i think with wanting everything her way and wanting to do it all herself if you know what i mean. She is a hoot though, the other day i handed her a piece of turkey meat and she said " thats cold in my hand " then put it in her mouth and said "but its warm in my mouth". those kinds of things. Tess is 3 and the youngest of four. The next is Teddy he just turned 5! He is a lovable young boy but can get into some tantrums that are not that fun.
The next is Chris and he is 7. He is very individualistic and keeps to himself a lot. If you get talking with him though he is a sweet kid.
The last one is Gus and he is 9. Gus struggles with a low form of autism. Im not totally positive what all that entails but am still learning a lot from Him.
All in all its been a great week cant complain, tomorrow we may go skiing as we got blasted with some snow today. Will update again soon. thanks for all your support, please continue to keep me in your prayers. Brittany Darling

India and beyond
next saturday the 30th i will be embarking on a mission to india with my father and 20 others. we will be working in the southern part of india i forget the town name. anyway while there we will be working with thousands of orphans doing medical and dental checkups we have trained doctors and dentists on our team i will just be assisting in that process. this is the only chance these kids get to have checkups the whole year thats how desperate health care is over there. at night we will be taking part in huge crusade meetings in which the gospel is presented and some of the pastors speak and give sermons. usually lasts about 4 hours and thousands of indians attend those meetings. those are just some of the things we will be taking part in!
Some PRAYER needs include:
1. safe travel there (about 24 hours in all) and while in india.
2. servant attitude while there
3. flexibility and cohesiveness of the team!
thanks to all, update to follow after arrival back in the states hopefully!
to those of you wondering whats after india???? good question because i will be actually leaving michigan and traveling back out east to connecticut this time to be a live in nanny for a family of four kids there!!

sorry once again for my failed bloggingness!!
happy new year to all of you! this fall nannying for my niece was great to bond with her, the city never could live there myself. just the crowded streets and subways the dirtyness of it, but it was a super chance to get out of the comforts of my midwestern thinking and way of doing things so i definately was stretched. my sister and bro in law live in predominantly dominican neighborhood, so that was fun to interact and practice some of my spanish (although i would like to be better). we were able to visit lots of museums, parks, restaurants, see a broadway, meet other families and little kids just to name a few. it was also great to spend more time with my sis, we became huge fans of the show glee and would watch every wednesday night. i became so hooked i asked for the season on dvd for christmas and my request was granted. my older brother chris is also out there and we saw eachother quite a bit as well. nothing like the togetherness of family!! all in all a great experience.
it is now more than midway through january and this month has flown by! the last three weeks i have taken part in a ministry called ALONGSIDE in which pastors and missionaries and whoever else comes to get a renewal and training of christian leaders. it involves seminars, group time, individual counseling and lots of rest and thinking. it has been a rich and blessed experience!
i think this is enough for now so stay tuned for some more updates.....happy thursday!!!!!

End of summer/ Beginning of Fall
SOrry to those of you i try to keep updated on my life i dont do a very good job :(
Anyways mid july i went to missouri to help at the kamp where i completed my fourth summer at. they were in need of some help as the swine flu was rapid in missouri and around the kamp, so i was not planning on going but went to help and love it as always. i was there for one month helping in the kitchen mostly serving and cleaning. was back in michigan for just two weeks before coming out to new york city where i have been the past month!
I have been in new york city nannying my little one year old niece everyday and some other babysitting jobs as well. they pay pretty well out here, but its not all about the money. its been a big adjustment to get used to the big city where there is constant chaos all the time so its been a bit of a struggle. i have nto really met any one my same age yet either. i do start a fellowship group next thursday as part of the church where ive been going. so that will be nice. My niece Lola and I spend the days going to the park, library story time, museums, play groups and lots more its been a blast.
Originally i was only going to stay until the end of october when my brother in laws parents were going to take over until christmas but now they are not coming so i may stay through december, please be in prayer on that for me. thanks a ton, love to all my friends and family out there. May the Lord bless you and watch over you.
